Message From The Principal

Hello, and welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! My name is Jordon Al-Kaabi, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Christensen Elementary. I grew up just down the street from Christensen and am deeply proud to serve my home community. Returning here as principal feels both exciting and meaningful, and I look forward to giving back to the neighborhood that helped shape me. I am truly excited to begin this school year alongside our amazing students, dedicated staff, and supportive families. Christensen is a vibrant and diverse school community, and to me, it’s a privilege to be part of.

This year marks my first year as principal at Christensen and my 15th year in education. I have had the privilege of teaching at both the elementary and middle school levels, serving as a dean of students, and most recently as an assistant principal at both levels. I hold a deep commitment to fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and inspired to succeed. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and staying active—whether exercising, playing sports, or hanging out with my wife, our three boys, and two dogs.

Our theme for the year is Learning with Curiosity, Collaboration, and Commitment. These three words will guide our work as we nurture our students’ love for learning, encourage teamwork among families, peers, and staff, and remain dedicated to ensuring that every student thrives academically and socially.
